Arrangements following Jim Bentley’s departure as CEO NSW Water Sector

 

Dear Water News subscriber,

 

NSW Water Sector CEO Jim Bentley will be departing his role on 14 October 2022 to return to the UK for family reasons.

 

Amanda Jones, who is currently CEO of Water Infrastructure NSW, has been appointed as the Acting Deputy Secretary, Water.

 

Amanda has held a variety of high profile roles including Chief Strategy Officer in the Water Group of the Department of Planning and Environment. Prior to that Amanda was Deputy CEO at Infrastructure NSW. She also has many years of executive experience in water and energy corporations.

 

Jim has led the Water Group of the Department of Planning and Environment over the past three and half years, as well as coordinating the wider NSW water sector.

 

On his return to England Jim will commence an interim role as Operations Director Thames Valley and Home Counties for Thames Water. A recruitment search for a replacement for Jim Bentley will be undertaken.
